It is a matter of great pride for the IIST community to congratulate Dr. Mohammad Abdul Qadir, IIST alumnus of B.Tech. Physical Sciences (2008–2012), on receiving the prestigious Science for Solutions Award 2026 from the American Geophysical Union (AGU) – Advancing Earth and Space Sciences. AGU has listed Dr. Qadir as the 2026 recipient of this distinguished award. Dr. Qadir is currently an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Geospatial Scientist with NASA HARVEST, where he works on global crop monitoring.
