Students Amenities Centre
The SAC houses multiple facilities that cater to the needs of the IIST student community. The following facilities are currently operational in the SAC.

- Amphitheatre with seating capacity of 820

A branch of Union Bank of India along with ATM services is available in the campus.

Transport
A fully functional transport division caters to the transport needs of Faculty members, students and staff. Regular bus/cab services are arranged between IIST campus and Thiruvananthapuram to accommodate the conveyance requirement of the institute faculty and staff. The transport division also maintains a fuel depot and vehicle maintenance facility for the upkeep of the IIST vehicle fleet.
Security Services
The entire campus is vigilantly guarded by CISF security staff on round the clock duty. Access control systems are also enabled in the campus.
