Quantum Materials lab

The Quantum Materials Laboratory is dedicated to the synthesis, characterization, and exploration of advanced materials exhibiting novel electronic, optical, magnetic, and quantum phenomena. The laboratory focuses on emerging quantum materials such as two-dimensional (2D) materials, van der Waals heterostructures, Moire patterns, quantum emission from 2D materials and low-dimensional nanostructures. Research activities include nanoscale fabrication and manipulation, scanning probe microscopy and spectroscopy, optical and spectroscopic characterization, and investigation of quantum-confined and defect-induced phenomena. The laboratory aims to develop a comprehensive experimental platform for understanding fundamental quantum properties and translating them into next-generation photodetectors, quantum light sources, nanoelectronic devices, and quantum technologies.
