IIST wins Best Delegation award at MBCET MUN 2026
It is our immense pleasure to announce that IIST’s very own Samvaad Debate and MUN Club has won the Best Delegation Award at MBCET MUN 2026.
IIST sent a delegation of 17 members to the conference, out of which 10 delegates secured prizes across five committees.
The delegation achieved a rare feat by having at least one award winner in each of the five committees, making this an achievement for the entire delegation and not just the individual winners.

IIST Student Secures First Place in South 2 Regional Round of IET India Scholarship Award 2026
Omkar Manik Jadhav, a fourth-year B.Tech. Aerospace Engineering student at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, has secured first place in the South 2 Regional Round of the 10th edition of the IET India Scholarship Award 2026. The scholarship, which attracted 48,761 applicants across India, is one of the country’s leading scholarship programmes recognising outstanding undergraduate engineering students.Omkar successfully cleared the first two stages of the selection process and advanced to the South 2 Regional Round.
