Students from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Anagha S Sarma, Bhargav Parulekar, Humaira Sanam and a student from DU (Aditi Roy) won Third Prize for their group activity in the Data Challenge of Summer School conducted at the Griffith University (Gold Coast Campus) as a part of 2025 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, Brisbane, Australia. 40 participants from all over the world were chosen to work in a collaborative manner for providing solutions for the problem of bushfire, a prominent disaster faced by Australia.

Mr. Jubin Jacob (M. Tech in Optical Engineering, 2023 – 2025 batch) who worked with Dr. Biswajit Pathak (post M. Tech) got selected for PhD position at the world class laboratory with full scholarship (University of Utah, United States). Mr. Jacob has published part of his project work in reputed Optics journal.

Mr. Suyash Mehta (M. Tech in Optical Engineering, 2023 – 2025 batch) who worked with Dr. Biswajit Pathak for his M. Tech project got selected for PhD position at the world class laboratory with full scholarship (University of Auckland, New Zealand). Mr. Mehta has published part of his project work in reputed Optics journal.
