Research Scholar Sayooj T, pursuing a Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Shaijumon C. S. in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), presented his research paper titled "Does Resource Endowed Sub-National Units Lag in Energy Efficiency? Evidence from India's Iron and Steel Sector" at the Royal Economic Society (RES) 2026 Annual Conference, held from 6–8 July 2026 at the University of Newcastle, United Kingdom. His participation in the conference was fully supported through the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) Travel Grant.
