National Launch of Adi Karmayogi Student Chapter In IITs, IIMs, AIIMs, NITs and Top Institutions
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is establishing Adi Karmayogi Student Chapters across India’s premier institutions, including IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, NITs, Central Universities, and other leading institutes. These Chapters aim to inspire, mentor, and empower youth, linking them with platforms of learning, innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, and social transformation.
IIT Delhi hosted the National Launch of the Adi Karmayogi Student Chapters on 22nd September 2025. The keynote address was given by Shri. Vibhu Nayar, Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. Directors of IIT, AIIMS, and other institute heads participated in the event.
Prof. Dipankar Banerjee, Vice Chancellor of IIST, participated in the event alongside Shri. Satyajit Kaman, B. Tech Aerospace Student, and other IIST officials. He introduced the IIST to the audience and highlighted the activities undertaken by the IIST for the tribal community. IIST organises science camps and classes for the government schools, especially in the tribal areas. IIST is actively participating in the THRIVE Programme of the Government of Kerala, focused on tribal students in Model Residential Schools.
