To commemorate World Environment Day, IIST has organised a sapling planting drive in the campus. Prof. Dipankar Banerjee, Vice Chancellor, inaugurated the programme by planting the saplings in front of the administration building. Prof. Kuruvilla Joseph, Registrar, IIST, Deans, faculty, students, and staff enthusiastically participated in the event to transform the campus into a better, greener one. About 300 saplings of fruit-bearing plants were planted as part of the celebration.
