Science and Technology Exposure Visit
As part of its Outreach Activities, the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) hosted 35 final-year B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) students from Marian Engineering College on 5 August 2026 for a Science and Technology Exposure Visit.
The programme began with an introductory presentation on IIST, followed by an interactive session with Prof. Kuruvilla Joseph, Pro Vice Chancellor, who encouraged the students to pursue innovation, research, and higher studies in space science and technology.
During the visit, the students explored several advanced research facilities, including the Virtual Reality Lab, ChemiSens Lab, Ground Station, Control Systems Lab, and the IIST–5G Use Cases Lab. Faculty members and research scholars demonstrated ongoing research and cutting-edge technologies, providing the participants with valuable insights into their applications in space missions and related fields.
The visit offered the students an enriching learning experience and strengthened IIST's commitment to inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers through meaningful outreach initiatives.
