About the Workshop:

There is limited representation of women in top positions across fields of STEM research. The 1-day workshop aims to provide early career women researchers a basic introduction to skills, confidence, and possibly networks needed to navigate their respective fields. By engaging in conversations about challenges that women face can help participants in overcoming systemic barriers and gain recognition for their work. In addition, by fostering a supportive community, it is expected that the workshop will provide more awareness about how to accelerate career progression and inspire more inclusive scientific environments. The target audience are early career women researchers in STEM such as PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, scientists and faculty members from in and around Trivandrum. The workshop aims for a participation of 50 early career researchers.

This 1-day workshop offers early career women researchers practical insights, supportive conversations, and tools to help navigate challenges and grow their leadership potential — one step at a time. Through engaging discussions on real-world challenges and interactive activities focused on self-awareness and team-building, participants will gain a deeper understanding of their individual style, develop essential skills, and build meaningful connections to support career growth.
