The IEEE MTT-S and AP-S IIST Student Branch Chapters, in association with the IEEE IIST Student Branch, successfully organized an Invited Distinguished Lecture on April 20, 2026, at the Council Hall, IIST, Thiruvananthapuram.

The lecture was delivered by Maurizio Bozzi, Professor at the University of Pavia, Italy, and a distinguished expert in microwave engineering. The session focused on the topic “Emerging Trends in Technologies and Materials for Microwave Communication and Sensing.”

The talk provided valuable insights into recent advancements in microwave technologies, including emerging materials, innovative design methodologies, and their applications in modern communication and sensing systems.
