IIST conducted an outreach session at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vazhuthakkad, aimed at sparking curiosity and awareness about radio science and its applications in understanding the universe and our own planet. The session, titled "Waves Across Worlds: Discovering Earth and Cosmos with Radio Waves," was led by Rahul R, Project Associate in Science Communication and Outreach at IIST. Held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, the session introduced students to the fascinating world of radio waves, their role in astronomy, space science, and Earth observation, and how we "listen" to the universe beyond the visible spectrum. Over 100 students from Class 11 participated, making it a highly interactive and thought-provoking experience.
