The Distinguished Microwave Instructors (DMI) Workshop was conducted on April 20, 2026, at the Council Hall, IIST, by the IEEE AP-S and MTT-S Student Branch Chapters of IIST, in collaboration with the IEEE MTT-S and AP-S Kerala Chapters and the IEEE IIST Student Branch.

The workshop was organized with the objective of bringing together experts in microwave engineering, antennas, and electromagnetic technologies, and to provide students and researchers with exposure to current trends and practical applications in the field.

The program featured invited talks by distinguished speakers, including C. J. Reddy (Siemens, USA), Maurizio Bozzi (University of Pavia, Italy), Karu P. Esselle (University of Technology Sydney, Australia), and Chinmoy Saha (IIST, India).

The sessions provided insights into recent developments and emerging research directions in RF and microwave engineering. The workshop witnessed active participation from students, researchers, and faculty members representing various institutes and IEEE Student Branch Chapters, and concluded successfully.
