Colour Theory
The ARTIIST Colour Theory Session, conducted by Dr. Babitha Justin, introduced students to the fundamentals of colour theory through an engaging combination of explanation and hands-on activities. Participants explored the colour wheel, RGB primary colours, colour mixing, complementary and analogous colour relationships, and the use of light and shadow. Through a colour-wheel activity and an apple-painting exercise, students learned how colour combinations, highlights, and complementary shades can be used to create depth, harmony, contrast, and visual interest. The session encouraged experimentation and helped students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of colour in art.
