Activities
During the annual cultural fest DHANAK, the band of the Neptunes Club captivated the audience and judges at the Battle of Bands with an electrifying performance. Their tabla player received the “Best Tabla Player Award,” while the band also presented an original instrumental composition, showcasing their creativity and musical talent.
During the even semester of 2023, our music club, Neptunes, proudly secured the third position in the Battle of Bands, a highly competitive and celebrated event at Dhanak 2023. This achievement not only reflects the musical prowess of our club members but also underscores our commitment to excellence in performance.
Our club has a very active presence in each major events in the college, setting the stage for events and celebrations with a captivating performance.

Neptunes actively organized (along with dance and drama club) and participated in Konchords, a musical extravaganza that provided a platform for all IISTians to showcase their musical talents. Our club's performances contributed to the vibrant atmosphere of Konchords, highlighting the diverse and rich musical culture within the institute.
Neptunes has been an essential element of cultural festivities such as Diwali and Onam, where our performances added a festive and celebratory vibe. The club's ability to adapt and bring forth the spirit of different cultural celebrations through music has been a testament to our versatility.
We regularly host jamming sessions that bring students from across the college together to sing, play instruments, and simply enjoy music in each other’s company. One of the club’s most fun and heartwarming initiatives, these sessions offer students a musical retreat from the demands of everyday life—a chance to slow down, unwind, and appreciate the simple, wholesome moments they create together through music.
Beyond traditional celebrations, Neptunes actively contributed to various social events, including Women’s Day and AlumniMeets. Our music resonated with the themes of these occasions,fostering a sense of community and connection among attendees.
Throughout the year, Neptunes consistently added a melodious touch to numerous events, be it cultural, national, or social. Our commitment to infusing music into the fabric of the IIST community has made us a staple in the diverse range of events that unfold on campus.
