IIST Granted 25th Patent

IIST Granted 25th Patent

Thu, 7 May 2026

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) has been granted its 25th patent by the Indian Patent Office for a research innovation in transformer-based linearized displacement sensing systems.

Title:
A Circuit System for Linearization and Demodulation of Transformer-Based Displacement Transducers

The invention contributes to the development of a simple and efficient electronic system for accurate displacement measurement using transformer-based sensors, with potential applications in precision measurement and instrumentation systems. The proposed system enhances measurement linearity and accuracy over the full-stroke sensor span through an innovative demodulation technique and a linearizing front-end circuit strategy.

The inventors of the patent are Dr. Anoop C. S., Mr. Bhavesh Raj Singh Nehra, and Mr. Manvendra Sharma. The patent is awarded to the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology as the patentee.
