Selection Procedure

Applications are open throughout the year and must be submitted online only.
Selection process will be conducted quarterly, in January, April, July and October. Application deadlines are 31 March, 30 June, and 30 September, 31 December.
Note that deadlines for PDF positions under IIST Faculty Projects will be mentioned in the details of the projects and can be found under that category.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a seminar and interview, conducted offline/online by a committee duly constituted by the Director, IIST.
The minimum qualifications prescribed do not automatically ensure eligibility for the interview. Shortlisting of candidates for the seminar and interview as well as the final selection will be based on the research profile, research publications, letters of reference, and the merit of the submitted proposal.
At the time of joining, the candidates are required to produce original documents. For those applicants who are employed under Central / State Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous Bodies, No Objection Certificate from the employer concerned is to be submitted.
