EVLT, TMT) – Techniques to overcome atmopsheric turbulence – Fried parameter – Isophase patches and speckles – Adaptive optics – Lucky imaging – Speckle imaging – Interferometry – Basic principles – Michelson stellar interferometer – Aperture synthesis – VLBI – New and Upcoming missions – eVLA, ALMA, SKA – Non focussing methods – Tubular and modulation collimators, Coded masks, Fresnel zone-plates – Astrotomographic techniques – Lunar occultation, eclipse mapping, doppler tomography, echo mapping.
